1. Refractoriness
High Alumina brick refractoriness are higher than that of clay and semi-silica bricks, which can be up to 1750 ~ 1790 ℃. So it is high-grade refractory.

2. Load Softening Temperature
Because of the high content in Al2O3, less impurities, less fusible vitreous, high alumina bricks have high load softening temperature than the clay brick, but it does not form reticulum due to mullite crystalline. Therefore, the load softening temperature is still not higher than that of silica brick.
3. Slag Resistance
There are much Al2O3 in alumina bricks, so it more close to neutral refractory, which is resistant to erosion of acid and alkaline slag. Because it contains SiO2, so high alumina bricks have weaker resistance to alkaline slag than acid-resistant slag.
