Metal aluminum powder is mainly used for magnesium carbon brick additives to prevent magnesium carbon brick being oxidized in the high temperature, so it is an antioxidant, which can be effective restrict graphite rapidly oxidized in Magnesium carbon brick. Because magnesium brick after bake is bonded by the resin carbon residue, once graphite being oxidized, the strength of the brick will be reduced, thermal shock stability is also poor, thus affecting the service lift of the converter and electric furnace.
